Social scientist specialized in measurement methods. Spent (too) many years at fancy schools like Yale, Harvard and Oxford finding innovative ways to measure difficult to quantify outcomes, at times in partnership with institutions like
the UN. Loves the process of honest problem-solving with founders. Happiest at a live concert or in the mountains (bonus points if these mountains are in Norway).
Our Team
Originally a social scientist specializing in measurement methods, I spent (too) many years at fancy schools like Yale, Harvard and Oxford finding innovative ways to measure difficult to quantify outcomes and occasionally partnering
with institutions like the UN. What motivated me then is the same thing that drives me today: finding brilliant solutions to hard problems that really matter for society and for our planet. I saw firsthand how effective
tech can be in addressing the biggest challenges of our time and ultimately decided to fully dedicate my time to supporting founders working on these problems. I am an American transplant to Germany (I miss America’s wide
assortment of sugary cereal every day) and started my career at McKinsey.
Since 2014, I have had the privilege to work as a venture capital investor, first at Partech Partners where I made more than a dozen seed-stage investments spanning industries from healthcare to green-tech, and of course now
at Revent. In that period, I realized that an impact-driven VC can make a real difference to purpose-driven founders, which was one of the key reasons why we started Revent. Before becoming a VC, I worked as the VP of Sales
at HelloFresh and as a consultant at Simon Kucher in New York, where I advised tech firms on their pricing strategies. After completing my business studies at ESCP, I was founder & managing director of the Spark Institute;
our mission was to help students find their professional passion and purpose.
After I started my career with a very brief stint in the dark world of investment banking, I joined venture capital originally with the goal of finding the most ambitious start-up to join as my next job. I quickly fell in love
with supporting founders and so I remained in venture, first working on a wide range of both early- and late-stage investments for Partech Partners. During this time, I became obsessed with the idea of specifically supporting
intrinsically-motivated founders who are using technology to move humanity forward. It is unbelievably rewarding to now be building a platform at Revent designed particularly for this kind of founder.
I founded a mobility company called Beryl, with the clear purpose of decarbonising transport by getting more people in cities on bikes. I learned first-hand how powerful an authentic purpose is to business: it gave us laser
focus, it attracted the very best global talent, and it motivated us around a clear goal. I started Beryl because I’d learned the lesson that life is short, so I wanted to use mine to ‘build something of value’ - initially
that meant a purpose-led business, today it is to help other purpose-driven founders succeed from my vantage point as an investor.
As an engineer and product manager, I started my career in the wireless industry building fundamental communication technology. Frustrated with the corporate environment, I wanted to find where emerging technology was an agent
for positive social change. During my MBA at London Business School, I explored the impact of technology, working with companies in sustainable fashion, cultured meat, online privacy, and on Uber’s Safety Strategy team.
My first exposure to the venture world was as a founder with Entrepreneur First. I’ve joined Revent from Speedinvest where I was an early-stage green fintech investor.
